Mad Croc Woodstock in Lahti

On 12 and 13 June in Lahti, Finland, will be the second race of F1 powerboat championship. Thousands and thousands fans are expected, also many sport vips will be.

Sami Selio #11, first driver of Mad Croc Team Woodstock, is ready to make a good job in his home race, demonstrating to his fans that he is the number one yet.

Massimo Roggiero #12, second driver of team, has to deny the last unlucky season. The entire team trust on him, considering his skills level and that is one of the faster Italian powerboats driver.

Daniele Martignoni #18, third driver of team, is ready to improve the sixth place of Portimao, maybe reaching the podium.

Second place for Diego

On 7 June in Dessau, Germany, our young driver Diego Bacchiega has reached the second place and silver medal in World Championship of Osy 400.

The race took place in a unique session of four races after free trials and timed trials.

Diego showed that he is a very competitive driver and he is improving his driver’s skills race by race, certainly in the future will be protagonist at the maximum levels.

Woodstock Racing team is satisfied and bets on him because he is one of the most fastest and skilled Italian driver despite his young age.

Bacchieca has totalized 1000 points proceded by Behncke with 1200 points, third position was taken by Rossi with 825 points.

Gp Portugal - Race

The first round of F1 Inshore World Championship took place in Portimao’s waters, not very happy for Mad Croc Woodstock Team due to several technical problems and broken engines. In the Saturday’s first round Massimo Roggiero did not compete due to a boat inconvenient and the same in Round 2 on Sunday. Sami Selio, first driver, had bad luck because of broken engine in both race 1 and 2 and Sunday qualifying session as well. On the contrary his teammate Daniele Martignoni did not have bad luck, but a very good performance in the weekend during the first race with new team. After excellent qualifying sessions, Daniele obtained the sixth place on Sunday, an incredible result for the driver came to F1 only few months ago. One black mark for Daniele is the stop in race 1 with few laps remaining, however “Well Done Dani !!!” expressed at the end of the weekend the Team Patron Angelo Ferrario.

The Team leaves Portimao regretfully but always with optimism for next races trying to meet the expected results. We are waiting for you to the next GP in Russia on 6th of June. In the images section you can find all photos of the weekend.

Starting new season

Begin again the emotion and the thrill of a new season of Formula 1 for the Woodstock Racing Team; it will be a season full of news, exciting and amusing, as usual.

The 2009 season changes include the race modality, not only the Sunday race but also a Saturday race like Superbike championship model.

So we will have a contest 1 on Saturday and a contest 2 on Sunday, even more exciting and enthralling.

The season schedules the following legs unfolding over the course of the year in wonderful locations among which the Emirates.

• China - Liuzhou 4th of October
• China - Shenzhen 18th of October

The Woodstock Racing Team confirms the drivers for new season, Sami Selio #11, Massimo Roggiero #12 and Daniele Martignoni #18.
Furthermore this season will see a new “look” for the boats, which will be shown at the Portugal’s first race.

Welcome Dani!

Daniele Martignoni is the new driver of Woodstock Racing joining Sami Selio and Massimo Roggiero in this Formula 1 inshore season; it is a big news received from the head office of Federazione Italiana Motonautica based in Milan. It was a great day for Daniele Martignoni; he many times expressed his happiness to join a team made up of a staff and mainly of great fascination and skill drivers, like Sami Selio 2007 World Champion and Massimo Roggiero, one of best inshore powerboat Italian driver. In this presentation day of the newcomer at Woodstock Racing, the team owner Angelo Ferrario warmly welcomed Daniele, a nice, outgoing and most importantly a strong powerboat driver. Furthermore the Formula 1 inshore World Championship promoter Nicolò di San Germano attended the event, proving high regard for Daniele and all the team.

So Daniele Martignoni will be racing alongside of Sami Selio and Massimo Roggiero in a season with nine challenges to face, starting from Portimao in Portugal on 4th of April and later in Russia, Finland and six other races in Asia, among with two in China, then Qatar and the usual double event in the Emirates. Daniele Martignoni and all the staff invites you to the opening of the Formula 1 World Championship at Portimao on 4th of April. Silver medal for Sami!

The two last Gran Prix in UAE are just ended. That was an excellent final season for Woodstock Red Devil Racing. We have reached our aim to arrive at least second with Sami Selio, in fact Jay Price has won World Championship since Abu Dhabi's race. That was two very fightned races. In the first one Sami starting from second place reached the fifth position, with his 54 points was third in Championship ahead Jonas Andersson at 50 and behind Ahmad Al Hameli at 55. So he had to make many points possible to reach the second position.

One week later, in the last race of the season in Sharjah, Sami was very concentrated and wanted to make a brilliant race. Fortunately he belanced his BaBa boat very well and since the first trials made excellent timing, reaching the pole position on Thursday. The start was very good for Thani Al Qamzi who reached the first position, but Sami in second could keep enough advantage from the third position occupied by Jonas Andersson and administered the race. In this way gained fifteen very useful points for World Championship, crowning with Silver Medal for the second place in World Championship. The first three position for this season are: Jay Price - 105 pt. Sami Selio - 69 pt. Jonas Andersson - 62 pt. We have also reached a good result in Team World Championship, in fact we are fourth and first Italian team with 70 points.

We have also uploaded many images of Abu Dhabi and Sharjah races. In the season section you can also find the final rankings. We would say "thank you" to each person of our team, from drivers to technicians, staff and everyone. We are very proud of the result of this season and also for the passion and the great job done during this year. We also thanks to people who has follow all the season on our website, we hope that our job is appreciate, we are still working to do always better. See you next Formula 1's year!

Formula 1 grand final!

The last two races of F1 Inshore Championship will take part in United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. There will be two exciting races because Sami will try to make some important points for drivers and team’s Championship. Also Massimo will try to make some important points for teams Championship.

We will wait for you in Abu Dhabi on 4 and 5 December and in Sharjah on 11 and 12 December, and of course on our website for images, news and much more.

Victory in Shenzhen!

The pole position has shown that the feeling of Sami with the boat was excellent. Here in China Sami has run very fast since first race and finally he reached the first victory this year after the second place in St.Petersburg. Our team has made a great job, allowing Sami to lead since the starting lap.

“It was a perfect weekend!” said Sami, very proud of the victory. Now Sami, with this twenty points, gains various position in the driver’s ranking, until the third position with 47 points, and also in Championship teams ranking where we are third with 48 points.

Unfortunately the only negative note for our team was that Massimo Roggiero didn’t take part at the race due to technical problems since the race of Liuzhou. Massimo, anyway, in the last two races of the season, wants to gain some important points for the Championships ranking. We have been added all the photos taken during the weekend in the section images. Woodstock Red Devil Racing waits for you for an exciting end of season in the United Arab Emirates for the last two races. The first one in Abu Dhabi on 5 December and the second one in Sharjah on 12 December.

GP of China

The race in China is just ended. It was an unlucky weekend for our team even if it started with a pole position for Sami, with a time of 0:35.33 and an eight place for Massimo with 0:37.31.

Unfortunately in the last laps of qualifying, Massimo has damaged his catamaran and it wasnt possible to repair for the race of Sunday so he didnt take position in starting grid. Sami, instead, starting from the pole position leaded the Chinese Gran Prix for 39 laps, but due to engine problems he had to retire. The next race for Woodstock Red Devil Racing will be again in China, on 25 and 26 of October in Shenzen. We will try to improve our position in drivers and teams championship. In the season section you can find the updated ranking and in the images section the photos of the race.
